Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Vending Route Hub is committed to ensuring digital and physical accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe accessibility is not a compliance checkbox — it is a fundamental part of running a service business that respects every person who interacts with us.
This statement describes the measures we take to make our website, our service communications, and our physical service operations accessible to people with disabilities. It also tells you how to contact us if you encounter a barrier.
Email [email protected] or call (410) 488-9200. We respond to accessibility inquiries within two business days and aim to resolve accommodation requests within five business days.
Digital accessibility
Our website, online forms, and digital service reports are built and maintained with accessibility as a design requirement, not an afterthought. The specific measures we take include:
- Semantic HTML5 structure with proper heading hierarchy on every page
- Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images
- Keyboard navigability for every interactive element, including forms, modals, and dropdown menus
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Sufficient color contrast ratios throughout the site
- Skip-to-content link at the top of every page
- Form fields with programmatic labels and inline error messaging
- Modal dialogs with focus trapping and Escape key dismissal
- ARIA landmarks and roles where native semantics are insufficient
- No reliance on color alone to convey meaning or state
- Resizable text that remains functional at 200% zoom
- Reduced-motion support for users with vestibular sensitivities
WCAG conformance
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Our current status across the four WCAG principles is:
Text alternatives, adaptable content, distinguishable foreground and background, and no content that relies on a single sensory characteristic.
Full keyboard access, sufficient time limits, no seizure-inducing content, and multiple ways to navigate and find content.
Readable text, predictable navigation and behavior, and input assistance with clear labels, instructions, and error identification.
Compatible with current and future assistive technologies through valid, well-structured markup and proper ARIA usage.
We conduct quarterly accessibility audits using a combination of automated testing tools (Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse) and manual testing with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver). Findings from each audit are logged and remediated on a prioritized schedule.
Assistive technology compatibility
Our website is tested and functions correctly with the following assistive technologies and configurations:
- NVDA with Firefox and Chrome on Windows
- JAWS with Chrome and Edge on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack on Android
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice control
- OS-level zoom and magnifier tools
- High-contrast and dark mode system settings
- Switch control and alternative input devices
If you use an assistive technology that is not listed here and encounter a barrier, please contact us so we can investigate and, where possible, improve compatibility.
Physical accessibility
Accessibility is not limited to our website. We also consider physical accessibility in how we service clients and where we place our operations.
Our Baltimore headquarters
- Ground-level entry with no steps and a level loading approach
- Accessible parking space in front of the main entrance
- Accessible restroom for visitors and staff
- Service area wide enough for wheelchairs and mobility aids
- Well-lit exterior and interior pathways
Service at client facilities
- Technicians respect facility accessibility protocols and elevator usage rules
- We do not block accessible pathways or parking spaces during service visits
- Vending machine placement recommendations consider wheelchair reach range and approach clearance
- Machine selection recommendations include equipment with accessible control heights where required
Feedback & accommodation requests
We welcome feedback on any accessibility barrier you encounter — digital or physical. Every message goes directly to our accessibility coordinator and is tracked to resolution.
When contacting us, please include if possible:
- The specific page, form, or interaction where you encountered a barrier
- The assistive technology or browser you were using
- A description of what you expected to happen and what actually happened
- Your preferred method of contact and any accommodation you need to communicate with us
We acknowledge every accessibility inquiry within two business days and aim to resolve accommodation requests within five business days. If a resolution requires more time, we provide a written timeline.
If you need documents in an alternative format (large print, screen-reader-ready PDF, plain text, braille on request), a phone call instead of a web form, or any other accommodation to interact with our business, contact [email protected] or call (410) 488-9200.
Third-party content
Some content embedded on our website is provided by third parties — for example, interactive maps from Leaflet and OpenStreetMap, and fonts from Google Fonts. We choose third-party providers that document their own accessibility commitments and, where possible, provide accessible alternatives.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier within third-party content on our site, please let us know. We will work with the provider to resolve the issue and, where necessary, provide an alternative way to access the information.
Ongoing improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. We are currently working on the following improvements:
- Enhanced screen reader labeling on our interactive ROI calculator
- Improved keyboard navigation within the coverage map interface
- Additional alternative formats for our resource library downloads
- Expanded sign language support on our appointment confirmation flow
- Accessibility review of our monthly client reports to ensure all charts include data tables
This statement is reviewed and updated at least once per calendar year. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
